Step 1: Design Your Icons

Start by envisioning the style you want for your icons. Are you going for a minimalist look, or do you prefer vibrant, colorful designs? Use graphic design software like Adobe Illustrator, Canva, or even Procreate on your iPad to create your icons. Ensure each icon is a perfect square (1024x1024 pixels is a good size).

Step 2: Export Your Icons

Once you're satisfied with your designs, export them as PNG files with a transparent background. This format ensures your icons look crisp and professional on your iPhone's home screen.

Step 3: Set Up Shortcuts

Open the Shortcuts app on your iPhone.

Tap the '+' icon to create a new shortcut.

Use the 'Open App' action and select the app you want to customize.

Tap the three dots in the top-right corner to open the details.

Select 'Add to Home Screen.'

Tap the icon next to the shortcut name and choose 'Choose Photo' to select your custom icon.

Name your shortcut and tap 'Add' to place it on your home screen.

Repeat these steps for each app you want to customize.
